Loved the music, particularly the drumming, in the 80s. Now I have kids and we are rediscovering BJH together. What a treat. Thank you Mr. Pritchard for great memories, then and now. Your music will live forever.

The first thing that stroke me when I first listened to BJH music(precisely "Time Honoured Ghost") was the special play of the drums. It was special and quite mystical. In all other albums of BJH, Mel's play was always specific and gave to the music something unspeakable. I was devasted when I learned about his untimely death. But he will never die!

Although 8 years ago I am still sad about the loss of Mel as a fabulous musician and as to heard by the comments of his friends really gentle guy. For many years his drum playing was an idol for me and I fortunately had the opportunities to hear him live at many BJH concerts I visited since the late 70th. Now I heard that Woolly passed too and I really hope they will make together some beautiful noise in heaven. And to the two remaining band members: "Get together, make music together again and spend a tribute to your dead colleagues and the spirit of BJH!"

I hope you are in peace. To say it in the words of John Lees: I am so sad since you went away, I am so lost without you. Thank you for you music and the joy you gave us, Mel. I am still the lucky owner of a tour banner 1990 Face to face you, John and Les signed for me. R.I.P. together with Wolly, another legendary member of BJH.

Egal was auch passiert.

Gerade vorhin hatte ich THE EYES OF THE UNIVERSE gehört.

Though I've never been to a BJH-concert, I've always been impressed by the first two live recordings. The music of BJH was a part of my youth in the late 70s. John, Les, Stuart and Mel contributed in making those years just a wonderful time for me. Thank you.

Danke! So kann es nie wieder werden. Schade!!

Dear Mel, Thank you for allowing me to interview you (with Les) for URB (University Radio Bailrigg, Lancaster) round about 1978. I remember your warmth, friendliness and helpfulness. God bless you, my hero! Robin
